Jr NTR pens gratitude note on the success of his recent release Devara: Part 1, which hit theatres on September 27 in major pan-Indian languages. Acknowledging what it means to him, NTR wrote, “My heart is filled with immense gratitude for the overwhelming response to Devara Part 1. This film holds a special place in my heart and seeing the outpouring of love from around the world makes it even more special. First and foremost, I want to thank my fellow cast members, Saif Sir, Janhvi, Prakash Raj Garu, Srikanth Garu, and all the other actors, for breathing life into their characters so ably and giving our story wings.”
Koratala Siva wrote and directed Devara: Part 1, and the film marks his first pan-Indian project. Jr NTR thanked the director guiding the time to a great vision. He added, “A huge thanks to my captain, Koratala Siva for his vision of conceiving this world and this tale. His leadership guided us through every step of making this magnificent vision a reality.”
Jr NTR also gave a special mention to the technicians of the film, mainly Anirudh Ravichander, whose score is being highly appreciated. He underlined the contribution of the team and wrote, “Anirudh, what can I say? The world is talking about what he has done for the movie. Rathnavel Sir made each frame stunning. Sabu Sir for the great production design, Yugandhar Garu for the VFX, Sreekar Prasad Garu for the edit and all the technicians for shaping the product in the best possible way!”
Devara is Jr NTR’s second collaboration with Koratala Siva, following the 2016 film Janatha Garage. Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor made their acting debuts in the action thriller. The film also stars Shine Tom Chacko and Prakash Raj, among others. Acclaimed cinematographer Rathnavelu cranked the camera for the film while Sabu Cyril of Baahubali fame took over the production design. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Sudhakar Mikkilineni-Kosaraju Harikrishna bankrolled Devara under the labels of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, respectively.
