On Saturday, Dil Raju, the producer of upcoming Ram Charan starrer Game Changer, released an official video statement announcing Sankranthi 2025 as the new release date for their film. The Shankar directorial, which also stars Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in a major role, was earlier slated to release on Christmas this year.
In his statement, Dil Raju stated, “Looking from the perspective of worldwide markets — be it Bollywood, Tamilnadu or overseas — we collectively decided that Sankranthi 2025 would be a much better date for our film’s release.”
Dil Raju also spoke about approaching the team of Vishwambhara, the upcoming Chiranjeevi starrer, which had locked Sankranthi 2025 as their film’s release date, to ask them to vacate the date for Game Changer. “We told the Vishwambhara team, about how we have been making Game Changer on a huge budget for 3 years. The Vishwambhara team, then, very graciously agreed to give the release date to us.”
Game Changer, marks the first collaboration between Ram Charan and Shankar, also marking the first Telugu film for the latter in his 32 year career as a director.
