On Wednesday, Samyuktha Menon’s new thriller was launched by Rana Daggubati with a puja ceremony. Hasya Movies is bankrolling the film as its Production No 6. Yogesh KMC is the writer-director for the new-age thriller. Samyuktha Menon is said to be playing an interesting role in the film. The thriller is yet to get a title from the team.
Rajesh Danda is the producer for the film, and it’s jointly backed by Hasya Movies and Maganti Pictures. The thriller has art direction by Brahma Kadali and editing by Chota K Prasad.
Talking about the film, Samyuktha Menon said, “The fact that this film is happening is a miracle. They have been trying to give me a narration for this script but shooting kept me busy. Finally I heard the full narration recently and it was spectacular. The way director Yogesh gave detailed descriptions for each scene, made me realise the number of years he must have worked on this.”
She further elaborated on the ‘female-centric’ tag. “I am not fond of the tag ‘female-centric.’ Whenever we get a female-centric subject, it’s either a thriller or some empowerment related subject. I always wonder - why can’t we have a normal story with a female lead? This is one such film where the lead is a female but it can be played by a male actor as well. I was impressed by that.”
Samyuktha Menon and Rana Daggubati appeared together in the Saagar K Chandra directorial Bheemla Nayak as a couple.
