
The trailer for Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, was unveiled on Sunday, showcasing Allu Arjun’s character Pushpa Raj stepping into the global spotlight. Expanding his empire as a gangster, Pushpa Raj ventures into international waters, hinting at a storyline filled with high stakes action and conflict.
The Pushpa 2: The Rule trailer teases multiple plot threads, including Pushpa’s rivalry with Shikhawat, portrayed by Fahadh Faasil, and glimpses into his personal life with Srivalli, played by Rashmika Mandanna. A notable line from the trailer declares, “Pushpa is not national, he is international,” emphasising the film’s larger-than-life ambitions.
The scale of the sequel has been significantly elevated, with lavish visuals and expansive set pieces. The trailer launch event was held in Patna, Bihar, attracting an overwhelming crowd. The film is set to release worldwide on December 5 in multiple languages.
Directed and written by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule brings back its ensemble cast, which also includes Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, and Jagadeesh Pratap. The new additions to the cast include Jagapathi Babu and Satya. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings.
Pushpa: The Rise, the first part, focused on the rise of Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler from Chittoor. The sequel promises a more gripping narrative, packed with thrilling moments.
Pushpa 2: The Rule’s technical team includes cinematographer Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and National Award-winning editor Naveen Nooli. In addition to Devi Sri Prasad’s compositions, SS Thaman, Ajaneesh Loknath, and Sam CS have been roped in to compose the background score, enhancing the film’s musical landscape.
With its ambitious storyline and grand production, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.
