Srikanth Odela took to X and reacted on the recent issue of film content leaks. His upcoming film with Nani suffered from this leak when a few news portals leaked the title before the official announcement. He urged the industry and audiences not to blame assistant directors and writers on set. He explained that the assistants end up becoming easy targets for blame.
“To whomever it may concern, not just about my film, whenever something gets leaked from an upcoming film, assistant directors or writers get blamed. These people are the future creators and their selfless contribution to cinema deserves utmost. Respect! Change the habit of blaming it on actual hard-working film departments and learn to admit your greediness.” He lamented.
He even used a slur for the perpetrator who leaked his upcoming film’s title: “I know the b****** who leaked my title and they are not from my team.”
Recently, a still from Kannappa got leaked, featuring actor Prabhas. Odela’s words are being interpreted as a reaction to this particular incident by netizens.
On the workfront, Nani and Srikanth Odela joined forces for the second time after the success of their previous action drama, Dasara. The film got its title, The Paradise. Billed as a violent action drama, the film is said to be based in 80s Secunderabad, with Nani’s role kept under wraps.
The Paradise is being bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV Cinemas. The makers are said to have approached Anirudh to score music for the film, raising anticipation for the project. More details about the film’s cast and crew are yet to be out.
