We had earlier reported that Prabhas will be seen making a special appearance in Kannappa, the upcoming fantasy-drama starring Manchu Vishnu in the lead role. However, Prabhas’ look in the film, which wasn’t officially unveiled by the makers, was leaked recently. In response, the Kannappa team issued a statement on Saturday.
Kannappa is produced by 24 Frames Factory. Addressing the leaked footage, the production banner shared a note on their X page, stating, “This breach not only undermines our hard work but affects thousands of people, including over 2000 VFX artists who have been working tirelessly on the project.” The makers further urged Prabhas fans not to share the leaked footage, also announcing a reward for anyone who provides leads that could help trace the origin of the leak.
Besides starring Vishnu in the titular role, Kannappa also features actors like Mohan Babu, Sarath Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Madhoo, Brahmanandam, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, and Mohan Lal in the primary cast. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Although the film was tentatively scheduled for a December release earlier, the makers of Kannappa are yet to confirm the release date.
