Vikkatakavi trailer: A detective must rescue a village riddled with superstitions

The makers of the upcoming ZEE5 original series Vikkatakavi released their show’s official trailer on Thursday. Naresh Agastya, who was recently seen in the psychological thriller Kali, plays the protagonist in the series.

Set against a rural Telangana backdrop, Vikkatakavi tells the story of Ramakrishna, a detective who is compelled to visit a village and deal with a mysterious issue over there, upon his friend’s request. As he lands there, the detective realises that superstitions lie at the core of these villager’s problems. How the determined detective decides to stay in the village until he unravels the mystery, standing tall against all barriers, forms the crux of the story.

Megha Akash plays the female lead in Vikkatkavi, and the supporting cast includes Shiju Menon, Tarak Ponnappa, Raghu Kunche, Mukthar Khan, Ramya Durga Krishna, Ashok Kumar, Ravi Teja Nannimala, Rasha Kiramani, and Sai Prasanna. Vikkatakavi is directed by Pradeep Maddali, with a script by Teja Desharaaj. Rajani Talluri is producing the series under the SRT Entertainments banner. Music is by Ajay Arasada. Sai Babu Talari and Shoeb Siddiquie are the editor and cinematographer, respectively.

Vikkatakavi is slated to have its streaming premiere on November 28.
