It is well known that Nithiin, who was last seen in the action-entertainer Extraordinary Man, is working with filmmaker Sriram Venu in one of his upcoming films, titled Thammudu. The makers of the film on Monday announced the release plan —Thammudu is scheduled to release on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri next year.
The makers also released a first-look poster on the occasion. In the poster, Nithiin is seen running away from a mob with an intense expression on his face, holding a Kagada in his hand and carrying a child on his shoulders who is presumably his young sister. Thammudu is being produced under Sri Venkateswara Creations, with Dil Raju and Shirish serving as the producers. After Dil and Srinivasa Kalyanam, this is Nithiin’s third collaboration with the renowned banner.
Ajaneesh Loknath is the music director. On the technical front, KV Guhan is the cinematographer and Prawin Pudi is the editor. While more details about the film’s primary cast are yet to be announced, it is reported that yesteryear actress Laya will be seen playing a key role. Sriram, who is also the writer for Thammudu, has previously directed films like Vakeel Saab and MCA - Middle Class Abbayi.
Nithiin’s upcoming films include Robinhood, where he will be sharing screen with his Extraordinary Man co-star Sree Leela.
