KA, the Kiran Abbavaram starrer thriller that hit theatres on October 31, has been performing fairly well at the box office. The film was initially slated to release in Tamil Nadu as well in a Tamil dub version. However, it eventually did not release there because of the unavailability of screens due to the release of the other two big films this week—Lucky Baskhar and Amaran. Actor Kiran Abbavaram recently expressed his disappointment about the same.

Addressing the media at the success meet held for KA on Saturday, the actor stated, “We are still trying (to get screens). I have been calling my producer every other hour for an update.” Further sharing that he has received many calls asking to add KA shows in Chennai, Kiran added, “I feel so bad. So many Telugu people have been calling from Chennai, asking me why they are not able to watch the film in their city, considering it’s doing so well in Telugu states. All we need is 5-10 screens for the Telugu version release, not any more. I’ve been requesting them; let’s see.”

Meanwhile, 186 new screens have been added for KA in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after seeing the positive reception of the film at the boxoffice. Directed by Sujith-Sandeep, KA also starred Nayan Sarika and Tanvi Ram in prominent roles.
