Gangs of Godavari Trailer: Vishwak Sen plays a fearless gangster from the heartlands

The official trailer of the much-awaited Vishwak Sen starrer action-drama Gangs of Godavari was launched at a grand ceremony on Saturday. The trailer begins with a philosophical voiceover about the three kinds of men that exist before revealing the protagonist Rathna (Vishwak Sen) as a fearless and boisterous gangster with political connections and aspirations. Things take a turn when Rathna falls in love with a local village belle (Neha Sshetty) and decides to marry her. Suddenly, Rathna finds himself attacked from all quarters, including those who were once his allies. The trailer ends with Rathna proclaiming that contrary to popular theory, the world is rather divided into men, women and politicians.

Gangs of Godavari is written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya. The project is jointly bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film stars Neha Sshetty as the female lead, besides featuring actors like Anjali, Nasser, and Goparaju Ramana in supporting roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer of the film, while Navin Nooli is the editor.

Earlier slated for a release on May 31, the gangster drama will now hit theatres on May 31.
