New teaser for Mirai out; Manchu Manoj plays 'The Black Sword' in the fantasy-drama

Manchu Manoj, who was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan, is part of Teja Sajja’s upcoming film Mirai. The makers of the film released a new character teaser on the occasion of Manoj’s birthday, introducing his character in the film. Manchu Manoj plays a ferociously violent figure named 'The Black Sword' in the film.

The character teaser begins with a character telling someone about Black Sword, describing him as ‘the most dangerous force in the world.’ The teaser then introduces Manchu Manoj in a menacing avatar, unleashing violence wherever he goes.

Mirai is being directed by Karthik Gattamneni, who has earlier made films like Surya vs Surya (2015) and Ravi Teja starrer Eagle, which released in February this year. At the teaser launch ceremony, Karthik said, addressing Manoj, “I have followed your work the most since I began to study about filmmaking. I am very lucky to have you as part of MiraiAnna. Welcome back to cinema.”

Mirai marks the 36th production for People Media Factory. Besides Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, the film will feature Ritika Nayak as the female lead. Gowra Hari is signed as the music director, and Srinagendra Tangala as the art director. Mirai is scheduled for an April 2025 release.
