Vishwak Sen’s VS 12 is now titled Laila

The makers of Vishwak Sen’s next film, tentatively titled VS 12, announced the official title of their project on Friday - VS 12 is now Laila. Sahu Garapati is producing the film under the banner of Shine Screens.

In their social media post, the makers wrote, “The Mass Ka Das of the box office is turning the tables and taboos & coming as the elegant and graceful Laila.” The title announcement video shows a vanity table at the centre, decorated with conventionally feminine objects and artefacts, while also making space for contrasting elements, like a gun and a bloodied knife, at the bottom. The title announcement video builds further curiosity about the concept and storyline of Laila. 

Akanksha Sharma is the female lead in Laila. Ram Narayan is directing the film, while the script is authored by Vasudeva Murthy, who has also penned some of the songs in the film. Tanishk Bagchi is the music composer. Richard Prasad is helming the cinematography, and Anwar Ali is the editor. 

Apart from Laila, Vishwak Sen has two other films coming up soon – Gangs of Godavari and Mechanic Rocky. The first look of Mechanic Rocky was launched earlier today as well.
