Family Star Trailer: Vijay Deverakonda plays a protective patriarch in this family entertainer

Ahead of their film’s release, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Family Star released their official trailer on Thursday. Directed by Parasuram Petla, Family Star is all set to hit theatres on April 5.

The trailer establishes the protagonist (Vijay) as a middle-class, conservative man who likes to look after his family and their well-being. After a point, Vijay’s ways do not sit well with his wife (Mrunal Thakur), leading to marital discord between the two. However, some dangerous events transpire. It is now upon our ‘Family Star’ to set things right, and continue to protect his people. 

This is the first time Vijay and Mrunal are working together. Family Star, however, is the second collaboration for Vijay with director Parasuram – They had earlier worked together in the 2018 film Geetha Govindham. The film’s supporting cast includes names like Vennela Kishore, Jagapathi Babu and Rohini Hattangadi. 

KU Mohanann, who has shot popular films like Don (2006), Talaash (2012) and Andhadhun (2018), is the cinematographer for the film. Editing is helmed by Marthand K Venkatesh, and AS Prakash is the art director. Gopi Sundar is the music director for the film.
