Dil Raju recalls how he agreed to produce Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Family Star

The makers of upcoming film Family Star released their third single, ‘Madhurama Kadha', on Monday. On the occasion, notable producer Dil Raju spoke about how he greenlit the film project over a phone call.

Dil Raju recalled how the film’s male lead, Vijay Deverakonda, was the first to hear the story. Later, Dil Raju got on a phone call with director Parasuram Petla for a story narration. Dil Raju added, “Parashuram presented a compelling story over the phone, and within 15 minutes of hearing it, I agreed.” The producer also talked about what makes Family Star a different film, elaborating, “It’s a story that mirrors middle-class families, capturing all their emotions through Vijay's character. The songs, dialogues, and hero’s mannerisms will reflect your own life. When it releases, we expect family audiences will flock to the theatres."

Family Star features Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur as the lead pair, who are working together for the first time. The film also marks Vijay’s second collaboration with Parasuram after their 2018 film Geetha Govindham. Parasuram has also written the script for the upcoming family entertainer.
