It's a wrap for Vijay Deverakonda's Family Star

Family Star, the upcoming action-drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, is finally gearing up for its theatrical release on April 5 this year. Ahead of its release, the makers of the film officially announced the wrap-up of their shoot on Saturday.

Taking to their X page, the film’s production house Sri Venkateswara Creations made the said announcement with a small video where the film’s lead pair can be seen sharing a group hug moment with director Parsuram Petla. The makers also stated that an announcement for the trailer date will be made soon.

It is to be noted that Family Star was earlier slated for a January release, on the occasion of Sankranthi. However, the makers decided to postpone the release after consideration of the massive box office clash on Sankranthi, which had films like Guntur Kaaram, Hanu-Man, Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga pitted against each other. The makers announced their new release date, i.e. April 5, only in February. 

Family Star also marks the reunion of Parsuram with Vijay, after their last collaboration Geetha Govindam (2018). The film is produced by veteran producer duo Dil Raju & Sirish. Gopi Sundar has composed music for the film. KU Mohanan is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by AS Prakash.
