Kurma Nayaki makers unveil glimpse teaser on Varalaxmi’s birthday

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is fresh from her engagement, and she turned 39 on Tuesday. On her birthday, producer K. Vijitha Rao released a glimpse teaser of her upcoming project Kurma Nayaki, starring Varalaxmi.

The teaser begins with the visuals of deep ocean waters and then makes a gradual reveal of Varalaxmi seated atop a sea turtle in a demigod-like posture. It should be noted that Kurma Nayaki is one of the many names of Goddess Lakshmi.

The film was officially announced in November 2023, with the makers organising a launch ceremony with the primary cast and crew in attendance. Kurma Nayaki is written and directed by K Harsha Kadiyaala and jointly bankrolled under the production banners Rohan Productions, MM Creations, and Kalabhairava Production.

Varalaxmi had last appeared in the Prasanth Varma directorial Hanu-Man, where she played the role of the protagonist’s elder sister Anjamma. The actress’ upcoming projects include the Dhanush directorial Raayan.
