Just three days after the release of Kalki 2898 AD, the makers unveiled the video of the song 'Ta Takkara' from the film, featuring Prabhas and Disha Patani. The song is composed by Santhosh Narayanan who has also lent his vocals alongside Sanjith Hegde and Dhee. The song which shows Disha and Prabhas' characters Roxine and Bhairava exploring the 'Complex' or the elite world, has lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD boasts a massive ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Deepika Padukone, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Shobana, Pashupathy, Anna Ben, Keerthy Suresh among others.

Kalki 2898 AD is the first instalment in the Kalki Cinematic Universe of Nag Ashwin, which is inspired by Hindu scriptures. The film is futuristic and set in a post-apocalyptic world in 2898 AD, and follows a set of people who are on a mission to save the unborn child, Kalki, of SUM-80 or Sumathi (Deepika), a lab subject.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film hit theatres on June 27, 2024, and opened to mixed reviews.
