‘Theme of Kalki’ from Kalki 2898 AD is a rousing composition

Two days ahead of their film’s release, the makers of Kalki 2898 AD released their new single ‘Theme of Kalki’ on Tuesday. Kalki 2898 AD is an upcoming sci-fi-meets mythology film directed by Nag Ashwin.

Composed by Santosh Narayanan, ‘Theme of Kalki’ is an intense and rousing composition penned as an ode to Lord Krishna, capturing the divinity element of the narrative. The lyrics have been written by Academy award winner Chandrabose, while Kaala Bhairava is the playback singer for the soulful number. 

The song was launched on Monday in Mathura, which holds great significance as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, with hundreds of dancers performing on the song on the temple stairs, led by veteran actress Shobana, who plays a significant part in the film.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD boasts a massive ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2024.
