Ravi Teja, whose last major appearance was in Eagle, will soon be seen headlining the crime-drama titled Mr Bachchan. The makers of the film released a showreel teaser of their film on Monday.
The Mr Bachchan showreel contains a few crisply edited snippets of the Ravi Teja starrer, giving a broad idea of the film’s look and feel. Mr Bachchan promises to be a highly stylized action-drama set against a 1970s backdrop. There are also many elements in the showreel, including the background score inspired by the Don title song, that pay tribute to 70s cinema and Amitabh Bachchan in particular. The showreel ends with a shot of an Amitabh Bachchan poster overlooking Ravi Teja, who can be seen exuding similar swag.
Mr Bachchan is directed by Harish Shankar, and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner People Media Factory. Mr Bachchan marks Ravi Teja's third collaboration with Harish Shankar after Shock (2006) and Mirpakay (2011). Bhagyashri Borse will be playing the female lead in the film, making her acting debut.
The technical crew of Mr Bachchan boasts of eminent names like Ayananka Bose, who helms the film’s cinematography, and Mickey J Meyer, who is the music director. Ujwal Kulkarni is the editor, while the production design is by Brahma Kadali. The screenplay writing credits are jointly shared by Ramesh Reddy, Sathish Vegesna, Praveen Varma, Dattatreya and Tanvi Kesari. Ram Laxman and Pruthvi are the action choreographers.
