Filmmaker YVS Chowdary, who has made films like Sitaramaraju, Yuvaraju, and Devadasu, announced his next film on Monday at a grand ceremony. The director also announced that his upcoming film will be the launch pad for Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, the great grandson of legendary Telugu cinema icon NT Rama Rao Senior.

Ramarao is the son of Nandamuri Janakiram and grandson of actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna. It is to be noted that Chowdary also introduced Ramarao’s grandfather, Nandamuri Harikrishna, as a lead hero in his directorial debut, Sitaramaraju (1999). Addressing the media, Chowdary stated, “Just like I had the fortune to introduce Harikrishna Gaaru as a solo hero, I am now getting the opportunity to launch Janakiram gaaru’s son Ramarao. I am very proud to introduce him to the Telugu silver screen.”

On the occasion, Chowdary also announced the launch of his new production banner, New Talent Roars, under which the film will be bankrolled. Yalamanchilli Geetha will be the producer for the film. YVS Chowdary will also be the story and screenplay writer for the film. The makers have yet to announce rest of the cast and crew.

Chowdary’s last directorial venture, Rey, was released in 2015.
