Netflix released the trailer of their upcoming docu-series Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli on Monday. The streaming giant is bringing the documentary on the RRR filmmaker in association with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios.
Slated to release on August 2, the docu-series will feature interview bytes from Rajamouli's colleagues like NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Prabhas among others as well as renowned filmmakers like James Cameron and Karan Johar, who reflect upon Rajamouli's contribution to Indian cinema. However, besides capturing his brilliance as a visionary director, the series also promises to capture the other side of his genius where the filmmaker comes dangerously close to being apathetic. The docu-series will also contain behind-the-scenes footage of his popular works like Magadheera, Baahubali series and RRR among others.
Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli is being produced by Anupama Chopra, Sameer Nair and Deepak Segal. Documentary filmmaker Raghav Khanna is directing the series. Sanyukta Kaza is the editor, while Nikunj Singh is the cinematographer.
