Shivarajkumar joins the cast of RC 16

Popular Kannada film actor Shivarajkumar joined the cast of upcoming Ram Charan starrer, tentatively titled RC 16. The makers of the film made the news official on Friday, on the occasion of Shivarajkumar’s birthday.

Eminent production banner Mythri Movie Makers, which is co-presenting the film with Sukumar Writings, posted on their X page, “Welcoming 'Karunada Chakravarthy' Shivarajkumar on board for a pivotal role that resonates with his stature. Team #RC16 wishes Shivanna a very Happy Birthday.”

RC 16, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, was officially launched in March this year. The film is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who shot to fame with his 2021 film Uppena, which also went on to win the National Award for Best Telugu Film that year. Academy-award-winning composer AR Rahman is the music director for the project. The cinematography and production design are by R Rathnavelu and Avinash Kolla, respectively. 

RC 16 is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner Vriddhi Cinema. The makers of RC 16 are yet to announce a release plan for their film.

Besides RC 16, Shivarajkumar’s upcoming projects include Bhairavana Kona Paata, to be directed by Sapta Sagardaache Ello fame Hemanth M Rao.
