Bahishkarana trailer: Anjali sets out to avenge her oppressors in this rustic crime-drama series

The official trailer for the Anjali starrer web series Bahishkarana was released on Wednesday. The upcoming action-drama, which is a six-part series, will be streaming on the platform Zee5 from July 19 onwards.

Bahishkarana centres around the life of a simple village belle, Pushpa (Anjali), who falls in love with a local guy, Darshi (Shritej). However, soon Pushpa realises that she has become a pawn in the massive web of caste oppression and feudalism that plagues their village, and is being exploited by the powerful local men for their own gain. It is now Pushpa’s turn to avenge the injustice and rise against all odds to diminish those who exploited her. 

Mukesh Prajapathi is the writer and director for Bahishkarana, while Prashanti Mallisetti serves as the producer, bankrolling the project under Pixel Pictures banner. Besides Anjali, the series also features Ananya Nagalla, Ravindra Vijay, Shanmukh, and Shritej in prominent roles.

Nagarjuna unveiled the show’s trailer on his social media page, with the caption, “Thrilled to Launch the trailer for Bahishkarana On Zee5!  Always was impressed with the director Mukesh Prajapathi with his work in BiggBoss and now this!! Anjali looking good bringing strength and depth to her character, Pushpa!!”

Mahboob, Basha, and Chaitanya Sagiraju, among others, comprise the ensemble cast. Prasanna S Kumar is helming the cinematography for this series, while Siddharth Sadashiv is composing both the soundtrack and background score. Ravi Teja Girijala is the editor.
