Trisha to make her web series debut with Brinda

Trisha is all set to make a grand comeback to Telugu film industry this year. Besides being a part of Chiranjeevi’s next Vishwambhara, the Ponniyin Selvan actor is also making her web series debut with the upcoming Telugu show Brinda, which will stream on Sony Liv. The makers of the show released a teaser on Monday.

The teaser for Brinda begins with the visuals of crimes and atrocities being committed on children in the name of religious superstitions, accompanied by a voiceover that talks about the importance of spreading goodness against all the evil that one is faced with at every step. Trisha plays a cop in the series who embarks on one such journey.

The supporting cast of Brinda includes actors like Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli, among others. The upcoming thriller-drama is directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, who has also penned the story and co-written the screenplay in association with Padmavathi Malladi. Dialogues are penned by Jay Krishna. Shakti Kanth Karthik has composed the songs and background score for the show. Avinash Kolla is the production designer, and Dinesh K Babu is the cinematographer. The editing is helmed by Anwar Ali. 

Produced by Kolla Ashish under the banner of Adding Advertising, Brinda will begin streaming on Sony Liv from August 2 onwards. Besides Telugu, the series will also be available in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi. 

Trisha's last venture in Telugu cinema was the 2016 film Nayaki, a bilingual film directed by Goverdhan Reddy.
