Pekamedalu trailer: A young couple stands at odds while dealing with money problems

The official trailer of Vinoth Kishan starrer Pekamedalu was unveiled on Tuesday morning. The upcoming slice-of-life drama also stars Anoosha Krishna in a prominent role.

Pekamedalu revolves around a young married couple from the heartlands, where the husband and wife stand on opposing sides of the ideological spectrum. While Varalaxmi (Anoosha) is a responsible homemaker who is grounded and knows the importance of steady income for their family, her husband Laxman (Vinoth) is a jobless daydreamer looking for shortcuts to entrepreneurial success. Pekamedalu is written and directed by Neelagiri Mamilla, who makes his debut with this film.

Actors like Ritika Srinivas, Jagan Yogi Raj and Anusha Nuthala play significant roles among the supporting cast.  Smaran Sai is the music director. The cinematography is by Haricharan K, and editing is jointly helmed by Srujana Adusumilli and Hamza Ali. Hamza has also co-written the screenplay in collaboration with director Neelagiri and film’s co-director, Sreenivas Ittam.

Actor Rakesh Varre is the film’s producer, bankrolling the film under the banner Crazy Ants Productions. Pekamedalu is slated for a theatrical release on July 19.
