Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela in the lead roles, hit screens this Friday. The film was released ahead of Sankranthi and clashed with Teja Sajja’s HanuMan on its opening day. The filmmakers announced on X that it has raked in Rs 94 crore worldwide.
The official handle of Guntur Kaaram took to their X account and said that the film created a record for a regional film on its first day. They wrote, “Superstar’s reign is supremely dominating in a Record-Breaking Spree. Guntur Kaaram rocks the global box office with a gross of - 94 Cr on Day 1 ~ All time record in regional cinema!"
Apart from Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela, the film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan, Easwari Rao, Jayaram, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ravindran and Teja Kakumanu in key roles.
The action entertainer/family drama reunites actor Mahesh Babu with Director Trivikram Srinivas for the third time. The actor-director duo has previously worked together in Athadu and Khaleja.
Guntur Kaaram is produced by Naga Vamsi's uncle, senior producer S Radhakrishna (Chinnababu) under the banner Haarika Hassine Productions. Thaman is the music composer of the film. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer of Guntur Kaaram, with editing by Navin Nooli and production design by AS Prakash.
