Actor Jayam Ravi's upcoming film Siren, which is all set to hit theatres worldwide on February 16, will be released a week later, on February 23 in Telugu. The film is helmed by screenwriter-turned-director Anthony Bhagyaraj. Jayam Ravi will be seen playing a prisoner while Keerthy Suresh plays a police officer. The Telugu release rights of Siren have been purchased by Maheswara Reddy Mooli under the banner Ganga Entertainments'.

Commenting on the film, Jayam Ravi is quoted saying in a press statement, "Emotion is very important in this film and it is important to bring it to the screen. We wanted GV to do it. GV is one of India's greatest Music Directors. The female lead is strong in this film. We thought Keerthy would be right and she proved it. People will see director Anthony Bhagyaraj on many more platforms in the future. They say that I am doing films for new directors. I am just a tool. The hard work of the director is the reason for the success of the film, I have played dual roles with little difficulty in this film."

The film also stars Anupama Parameshwaran, Samuthirakani, Azhagam Perumal, Yogi Babu and Tulasi among others. Antony Bhagyaraj has previously co-wrote films like Annathey and Viswasam. Siren is said to be an action-packed emotional drama. The film is produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar of Home Movie Makers. GV Prakash Kumar is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Selvakumar SK and editing by Ruben.

Jayam Ravi was last seen in Iraivan, which was released in Telugu as God. He has Genie coming up next which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi and Krithi Shetty.
