Amidst recent remarks by KT Rama Rao, Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman and noted producer Dil Raju has reaffirmed the Telugu film industry’s commitment to growth and collaboration with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, while urging stakeholders to keep it free from political controversies.
Speaking on the recent meeting between film industry representatives and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Dil Raju clarified, “The meeting was not a secretive affair involving just one or two people. It was a collective discussion aimed at addressing the concerns and fostering the development of the film industry. The industry is satisfied with the outcomes of this meeting.”
Dil Raju expressed disappointment over KTR's comments, which he said 'politicised' the meeting. “The discussion on the well-being of the Telugu film industry was held in an open, cordial manner, without any hidden agendas,” he stated, adding that the Chief Minister’s vision to establish Hyderabad as a global entertainment hub reflects the government’s commitment to the industry’s growth.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister sought the film industry’s support for social welfare initiatives such as curbing drug addiction and women's welfare. Dil Raju welcomed this, emphasizing the industry’s role in employment and social responsibility. He appealed to politicians not to drag Telugu film industry into 'unnecessary political issues.'
On the work front, Dil Raju is gearing up for the release of Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, starring Venkatesh Daggubati, for Sankranti season.
