After achieving great success at the box office, the Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD is now gearing up for its Japan release. The Nag Ashwin directorial will hit theatres there on January 3 next year, and the makers are planning to kick off promotions . However, Prabhas would not be in attendance for the same, owing to an injury.
Reportedly, the Salaar actor sprained his ankle while shooting for an action sequence for his upcoming horror-comedy The Raja Saab. As a result, he isn’t fit enough to travel and partake in the promotions. Director Nag Ashwin, among others, would be present in the country for the promotional activities.
Also starring Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in prominent roles, Kalki 2898 AD was produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The production house is planning to release the film in Japan in collaboration with Twin, the distribution company owned by Kabata Keizo. It is to be noted that Twin had also released SS Rajamouli's RRR earlier this year.
