The makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule, the latest Allu Arjun-starrer that has been collecting record-breaking numbers at the box office, held a press meet on Saturday. At the event, among other things, director Sukumar acknowledged the contribution of his direction team, in particular his assistant Sriman who he credited to have directed ‘almost half of the film.’

Addressing the media on Saturday, Sukumar said about Sriman, “He directed half of the film actually. You need to laud him. It’s so rare to have such a pure soul in your team.”

Further elaborating on Sriman’s contributions, Sukumar said, “Be it the childhood episode or the truck scene episode, it was he who directed them. Many other scenes and all the second-unit scenes are by him. So almost 30-40% of Pushpa 2 was directed by him.” Sriman, however, was not present at the press meet.

The Pushpa 2 director went on to call many members of his team and acknowledge their contribution to the film’s making, underlying their distinct inputs and suggestions which helped Pushpa 2 take its final shape. Addressing them, Sukumar said, “There is not one Sukumar here — all of these are Sukumars. All of them are directors of the film. Whoever among them will make a film soon, it will turn out to be a great film.”
