

In the light of the stampede that occurred at the benefit show for Pushpa 2: The Rule on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a 39-year old woman, R&B and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced on Friday that The Telangana government has decided not to give permissions anymore for benefit shows for films.
We had earlier reported about the stampede at Sandhya Crossroads theatre in Hyderabad on December 4 after Allu Arjun made an appearance at the premiere venue. After the crowd went berserk and ended up breaking the barricade, the authorities did lathi charge and called in additional reinforcements. In the chaos that ensued, a woman lost her life while a few others were in critical condition.
While Rashmika Mandanna and Mythri Movie Makers, the production banner for Pushpa 2: The Rule, addressed the issue on their X page yesterday, Allu Arjun is yet to make an official statement about the same.
