Veenah Rao to make her debut with filmmaker YVS Chowdhary’s next

On Saturday, filmmaker YVS Chowdhary officially announced the leading lady of his upcoming film starring Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the great grandson of legendary actor NT Rama Rao. Veenah Rao has been roped in to play the female lead. The announcement happened at a grand ceremony held by the makers, which was also attended by Kalki 2898 AD producer Swapna Dutt and Supriya Yarlagadda among others. 

Thanking the special guests at the ceremony, YVS Chaudhary said, “I have been in Ashwini Dutt's compound for almost five years. I have to do my first film under their banner. Later I got a chance to direct in Annapurna. Both Dattogaru and Nagarjuna are memorable to me.” Swapna said on the occasion, “We used to go to Chennai where we were kids, and Chaudhary anna was at our office. We grew up watching him, and prefer to call him Chaudhary anna. He is like our family, and even made his first film under our banner.” Talking about Veenah, Swapna stated, “Veenah is our Vijayawada girl. It's time for Telugu girls to come as heroines. I am very happy that Choudhary has taken a step forward in this matter.”

On the occasion, the makers also released a showreel of Veenah, which contains many pictures of the actor in various avatars and a heartfelt voiceover message in dedication to legendary actress Bhanumathi. Veenah Rao, a Kuchipudi dancer, expressed her dedication towards cinema and acting that she has been trained in all disciplines for the last 18 months by director YVS Chaudhary.

YVS Chaudhary has also penned the story and screenplay for the yet-to-be-titled film, besides bankrolling it under the New Talent Roars banner. Yalamanchili Geetha serves as the producer. The film’s team additionally boasts prominent names like Academy Award winners MM Keeravani and Chandra Bose, who are the music director and lyricist for the project respectively. Additionally, Sai Madhav Burra is the dialogue writer.
