Dhruva Vaayu’s Kalinga gets a release date

The makers of upcoming film Kalinga organised a special event to announce the release date for their film. The film, written and directed by Dhruva Vaayu, will hit the theatres on September 13.

The actor, who gained recognition with the film Kerosene, had previously worked in movies like Check and The Ghazi Attack. Addressing the media, Dhruva stated, “This is not going to be a regular movie. The content and screenplay are very tight. No Telugu movie has explored this concept before. Business deals are already closed in all areas since the content has been well-received. ” Dhruva has also co-written the script in collaboration with Rama Rao Jadhav and Yakub Shaik. 

Pragya Nayan, who stars as the female lead in Kalinga, stated at the event, “Kalinga encompasses all genres—love, romance, horror, thriller, and comedy. Dhruva Vaayu has done an excellent job with this film.” The ensemble cast of the film includes actors like Adukalam Naren, Laxman Meesala, Tanikella Bharani, Muralidhar Goud, Sammeta Gandhi, Preeti Sundar Kumar, and Balgam Sudhakar, among others. The cinematography and editing are helmed by Akshay Ram Podishetti and Naresh Venuvanka. Vishnu Sekhar and Anantha Narayanan AG have composed the music. 

Kalinga is produced by Deepthi Knodaveeti and Pruthvi Yadav under the banner of Big Hit Productions. The official teaser for the film was released earlier this month.
