On Saturday morning, the Hyderabad Disaster Relief and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) started the demolition of the high profile N-Convention Centre near Hitech City in Madhapur. Nagarjuna, to whom the convention centre belongs, addressed the incident in a detailed social media post, alleging the authorities of 'wrong actions based on misinformation.'
Taking to his X page, the Naa Saami Ranga actor stated, “Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases. The land is a Patta land, and today clearly, the demolition was carried out wrongfully based on misinformation.”
The convention centre has been in controversy for the last several years as it has been built in the FTL/Buffer zone of the lake. There were allegations that the convention centre was built by encroaching Full Tank Level (FTL) of around 3.30 to 3.40 acres of Thammidi kunta lake. The actor clarified in his official post that ‘ not even an inch of tank plan is encroached. In respect of the building constructed inside the private land, there is a stay order granted against any earlier illegal notice for demolition.’
The actor also informed that he was issued no prior notice about the demolition, adding that he would be seeking appropriate relief from the court in relation to the ‘wrong actions’ of demolition carried out by the authorities.
