Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi ended up sparking a social media row after he made a few comments about Prabhas’ character in Kalki 2898 during a recent interview, saying, “He was like a joker in the film.” While Warsi might or might not have referred to Prabhas’ character, these remarks were nonetheless not taken well among Prabhas fans, sparking a huge controversy on social media. Additionally, a few film personalities from Telugu film industry took to social media to express their displeasure about Warsi’s remarks. After Sudheer Babu addressed the issue yesterday, Siddhu Jonnalagadda on Wednesday shared his thoughts on the controversy.
Taking to his Instagram stories section, the DJ Tillu actor shared a detailed statement on his Instagram page, where he stated, “We all like or hate films and actors according to our whims and fancies, and that is alright. But, how you express that opinion matters, big time.” The actor also noted how the industry is always game for constructive criticism, but terms like ‘Joker’ don’t reflect the same.
Siddhu further expressed his pride in Kalki 2898 AD for having come out of Telugu cinema, adding, “Nag Ashwin has made something class apart.” The actor concluded his statement, requesting fellow industry colleagues to show mutual respect to each other.
