Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam, an upcoming comedy-drama starring actors Rao Ramesh, Ankith Koyya, and Ramya Pasupuleti, is slated for its theatrical release on August 23. The makers released a peppy song titled ‘Lachhim Lachhim Devi’ on Sunday. With lyrics by Bhaskara Batla and energetic vocals by singer Mangli, the song, composed by Kalyan Nayak, is a lively ode from middle-class people to the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi.
The makers of the film released a trailer for the film two weeks ago, which shows Subramanyam, played by Rao Ramesh, his middle-class life and cheeky moments with his son, played by Ankith Koyya. Subramanyam’s life turns when he mysteriously gets credited a lot of money, which results in a roller coaster of laughter and drama.
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is presented by Thabitha Sukumar, the wife of ace director Sukumar. Directed by Lakshman Karya and produced by Bujji Rayudu Pentyala and Mohan Karya under the PBR Cinemas and Lokamaatre Cinematics banner, the film is being distributed by Mythri Movie Makers and is set to hit the screens on August 23.
