Swapna Dutt, who recently co-produced the Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD, is producing her next film titled Champion starring Roshann Meka under the banner Swapna Cinema. The team officially began shooting for the project, which will be directed by Pradeep Advaitham, on Friday.
Kalki 2898 AD filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who is also Swapna Dutt’s brother in law, gave the muhuratam clap for the film. The production house shared the update on their X page, also sharing a picture from the first day of shoot.
Roshann Meka has previously worked in films like Nirmala Convent and Pelli SandaD. Pradeep Advaitam, who has previously worked as creator for the web-series Saving The Tigers, is also the writer for Champion. More details about the film’s primary cast and crew are yet to be officially announced.
Swapna Cinema, which was founded in 2014, has produced popular movies like Nani starrer Yevade Subramanyam and Jathi Ratnalu and the Nithya Menen starrer web series Kumari Srimathi. The banner has also co-produced films like Sita Ramam and Anni Manchi Sakunamale in collaboration with other banners.
