Ruhani Sharma pens gratitude note on completing 6 years in Telugu cinema

Her debut Telugu film, Chi La Sow, released in 2018, met with great critical acclaim.

Ruhani Sharma, the actor who starred in films like Dirty Hari (2020), Hit (2020), Saindhav (2024), reflects on six years of her journey in the Telugu film industry. She debuted with the romantic-comedy, Chi La Sow (2018), starring opposite Sushanth Anumolu. The Rahul Ravindran directorial received critical acclaim and gradually earned love from the audiences for its sensibilities and minimalistic storytelling. 

Rahul Ravindran had won the National Film Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2019 cementing the film’s position forever in audience’s hearts. Ruhani’s performance was appreciated by critics and audiences alike, reflecting on this, she posted, “My heart is so full as I write this. I never thought I’d receive so much love from all of you. You accepted me with open arms, and I can’t thank you enough for showering me with such affection. Completing six years in the film industry is a dream I cherish, and I promise to continue bringing you stories and characters that resonate with your hearts.”

She also thanked the Telugu cinema audience for accepting her role, Anjali, from Chi La Sow. Expressing that being a girl from Himachal, finding a special place in Telugu culture has been surprising, she looks forward to more such memorable films in the Telugu cinema landscape. Ruhani Sharma had recent releases with Sriranganeethulu (2024) directed by Praveen Kumar, starring Actor Suhas and Operation Valentine (2024) with Actor Varun Tej. Her upcoming Tamil film, Mask directed by Vikram Ashokan, is produced by Director Vetrimaaran under his banner, Grass Root Film Company. The film also stars Kavin Raj, Andrea Jeremiah, Bala Saravanan and more.
