On Goodachari’s 6th anniversary, Adivi Sesh unveils 6 stills from the sequel

Acclaimed actor Adivi Sesh scored a huge success with his action-spy-thriller Goodachari (2018), with appreciation from all corners. The sequel to the film had been announced with the first part itself, but its shooting commenced only in December 2023 due to various factors.

As the film turns six, Adivi Sesh took to Twitter to announce that the film is slated for a worldwide release in the second half of 2025, and he posted six new stills from the film. He adds, “The legacy of the film has gotten even bigger with time. There hasn’t been a single week in the last 6 years that I haven’t heard appreciation for Goodachari. G2 will be bigger, international in scale but Indian in emotion. For all the fans of Goodachari, G2 will be a Massive Visual treat. Stay tuned..."

The makers have also added that the spy-thriller sequel will be released in all major Indian languages. Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, who worked as an assistant director for the first part, is directing the film, while also co-writing with Adivi Sesh. The director notes that 40% of the shooting has been completed and promises that the film would be a treat for action movie lovers. 

The sequel is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under the banners of People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments. The film also has cinematographer Azeem Mohammed, music director Sricharan Pakala, editor Kodati Pawan Kalyan. The cast also includes Emraan Hashmi in a key role. In one of the stills, Adivi Sesh hints about Hashmi’s character being a friend or foe. And the extended cast has Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Madhu Shalini continuing from the first part.
