Pottel teaser: Yuva Chandra Krishna plays a village outcast who undergoes spiritual reincarnation

Yuva Chandra Krishna, who was last seen in the 2018 film Kanaka, is making his on-screen return with the upcoming action-drama Pottel. The makers of the film unveiled their official teaser at a grand launch ceremony on Thursday, and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga presided over the event as the chief guest.

By the looks of it, Pottel revolves around an underprivileged villager who becomes a victim of caste-driven politics of his village, and is forced to run away along with his daughter Saraswati However, things turn around him as he seemingly undergoes a spiritual reincarnation of sorts, followed by the entire village beginning to follow his words. Pottel promises to be an engaging action-drama with mythical elements.

At the trailer launch event, Sandeep Reddy Vanga stated, “Usually such films are produced in Malayalam cinema. It is very rare do we see such rural-based films in Telugu film industry. Encourage small and rural movies like these.”

The film stars Ananya Nagalla and Yuva Chandra Krishna in the lead roles. Ananya was recently seen in the horror-thriller Tantra. The film’s supporting cast includes actors like Ajay, Noel and Priyanka Sharma. Saahith Mothkuri, who made his directorial debut with the 2020 film Savaari, is the writer and director for the film. Shekar Chandra is the music director. The cinematography is helmed by Monish Bhupathi Raju. Karthika Srinivas is the editor and Narni Srinivas is the art director.

Pottel is produced by Nishank Reddy Kudithi of NISA Entertainments and Suresh Kumar Sadige of Pragnya Sannidhi Creations. There has been no official confirmation about the film’s release date yet.
