On Friday, actor Chiranjeevi has completed 45 years in the film industry. His maiden film Pranam Khareedu released on September 22, 1978. On this occasion, Chiranjeevi’s son, actor Ram Charan has penned a note of appreciation on X (Twitter).

Charan writes, “Hearty congratulations to our beloved megastar Chiranjeevi garu on completing 45 amazing years of mega journey in cinema! What an incredible journey! Starting with Pranam Khareedu and still going strong with your dazzling performances. You continue to inspire millions both with your onscreen performances and your offscreen humanitarian activities. Thank you Dad for instilling values of discipline, hard work, dedication, excellence and above all compassion."

Chiranjeevi was last seen in the Meher Ramesh directorial Bhola Shankar. The film, which also starred Tamannaah, Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth Anumolu, opened to negative reviews while performing dismally in the box office. The actor is committed to starring next in two projects, namely Chiru 156 and Chiru 157. While Chiru 156, set to be produced by Sushmita Konidela, is reportedly set to be a Telugu adaptation of the Malayalam comedy Bro Daddy, Chiru 157 is going to be a fantasy drama helmed by Bimbisara-fame director Vasshista.
