Published: 07th November 2023

Dum Masala, the first single from Guntur Kaaram, was unveiled on Tuesday evening. The song composed by Thaman, features rap as well as regular singing.

Dum Masala, written by Ramajogayya Sastry, is sung by Kannada singers Sanjith Hegde, Thaman and Jyoti Nooran. Jyoti is one half of the Nooran sisters duo, famous for Hindi film songs like Ghani Bawri, Patakha Guddi and Butterfly. Dum Masala is notably Jyoti's first song in Telugu. The song's rap portions have been penned by Trivikram and rapper Pranav Chaganti and performed by Pranav, Hemachandra and MC Vickey. Dum Masala has lyrics extolling the mass persona of Mahesh Babu's Guntur-based character by likening him to spicy foods and beedis. There is also a portion of the lyrical video dedicated to the actor's fans and the love they shower on Mahesh Babu.

Guntur Babu features Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as its female leads, with Prakash Raj, Sunil, Jayaram, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmanandam and Teja Kakumanu in supporting roles. The film is written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S Radha Krishna under the Haarika & Haasine Creations banner. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Navin Nooli and production design by AS Prakash.
