Bubblegum finishes censor formalities

Ravikanth Perepu's Bubblegum has been cleared by the censors with an A certificate. The film will be releasing on December 29. 

Bubblegum features debutants Roshan Kanakala and Maanasa Choudhary as the film's leads. Bubblegum is written and directed by Ravikanth Perepu. He is a director and an editor. It is Ravikanth's third film as a director after Kshanam (2016) and Krishna and his Leela (2020). While Kshanam featured Adivi Sesh, Krishna and His Leela featured Siddu Jonnalagadda in the lead role. It may be noted that both actors have also written these films they have starred. Bubblegum is written by Ravikanth Perepu, Vishnu Kondur and Seri-Ganni. Roshan Kanakala, the film's male lead, is the son of actor Rajeev Kanakala and television presenter Suma Kanakala.

Bubblegum is a love story between two individuals of vastly different economic backgrounds. The boy, an aspiring DJ, has his life turned down upside down when the girl he likes is seen with another man. There are also elements of action and crime in the film.

The film is jointly produced by Maheshwari Movies and People Media Factory. Sricharan Pakala, who is also Ravikanth's frequent collaborator is Bubblegum's music director , with cinematography by Suresh Rugutu, editing by Nishad Yusuf and production design by Vithal Kosanam. The film is scheduled to release on December 29, alongside the Nandamuri Kalyanram starrer Devil.
