Venu Thottempudi set to make OTT debut with Athidhi

Actor Venu Thottempudi, who is known for his roles in Swayamvaram, Hanuman Junction, and Dammu, will be making his OTT debut soon with Athidhi, a Disney + Hotstar Original web series. The announcement was made with the series teaser, which was unveiled on Wednesday. Venu was last seen in a supporting role in the 2022 Ravi Teja film Ramarao On Duty, which marked his comeback to the film industry after a gap of nine years. His penultimate appearance was in the 2013 film Ramachari, where he essayed the titular role. 

Athidhi is the latest offering in the Disney + Hotstar Telugu slate of 2023, which has included shows like Dead Pixels, Save The Tigers, Dayaa, and Shaitan. The series will be streaming from September 19 onwards. The teaser of the show introduces us to a man living in a mansion and what ensues when a woman late at night, when it is raining heavily, asks the man if she can stay over. Avantika Mishra co-stars in the series. Aditi Gautam, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Ravi Varma, Bhadram, Chanakya Teja, Gayatri Chaganti and Pooja form the supporting cast of the series.

Athidhi is written and directed by Bharath YG and produced by Praveen Sattaru. Kapil Kumar is the music director of the series, with cinematography by Manojh Katasani, editing by Dharmendra Kakarala and production design by Sahi Suresh.
