The teaser of Nithya Menen starrer upcoming series Kumari Srimathi was released by Keerthy Suresh, on social media on Wednesday. A comedy drama series, it is set to stream on Prime Video on September 21.
The series is backed by Swapna Cinema, in association with Early Monsoon Tales. While director Srinivas Avasarala provided the screenplay and dialogues for the web series, Gomtesh Upadhye is directing it.
Kumari Srimathi shows the challenges faced by a strong-minded woman but takes a humorous route. The teaser shows how she is hounded by people around her to get married, and how the titular character deals in her own witty way.
The series will have seven episodes with each episode running for 40 minutes. Songs for the series are scored by Staccato and Kamran, whereas Mohana Krishna is the cinematographer. Latha Naidu is the production designer, while Srujana Adusumilli is the editor and Chandu Nimmagadda is the executive producer.
Kumari Srimathi will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
