Mahesh Babu, who is often known for effusively praising films he has enjoyed watching has penned some heartfelt words of appreciation for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. The actor writes on X (formerly, Twitter), "Jawan...Blockbuster cinema...Atlee delivers king-size entertainment with the King himself. Comes up with his career's best film. The aura, charisma and screen presence of Shah Rukh Khan are unmatched. He is on fire here. Jawan will break his own records. How cool is that!! Stuff of the legends." It may be noted that just a few days back, Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement for Jawan, which was followed by a warm interaction between him and Shah Rukh Khan.
Jawan is directed by Atlee, with a screenplay penned by him and S Ramanagirivasan. The film, partially reshot in Tamil, has its Hindi dialogues penned by Sumit Arora. The film also stars Nayanathara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Riddhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Mukesh Chhabra and Yogi Babu. Shah Rukh Khan has produced the film under his home banner Red Chillies Entertainments. Anirudh is the music composer of the film. Jawan opened to mixed to positive reviews, earning an approximate amount of Rs75 cr gross on day one.
