The makers of Bhagavanth Kesari have announced on Sunday that their film earned ₹123.92 crore in the first ten days of its release. Bhagavanth Kesari, written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, stars Balakrishna, Sreeleela, Kajal Aggarwal and Arjun Rampal. While the film was Balakrishna's 108th film, Bhagavanth Kesari also marks Arjun Rampal's entry into the Telugu film industry. The Mumbai based actor played the film's key antagonist Rahul Sanghvi.

Bhagavanth Kesari is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner Shine Screens Cinema. Thaman is the music director of Bhagavanth Kesari, marking his first collaboration with Anil Ravipudi. Thaman has also composed music for Balakrishna's previous film Akhanda. The film has cinematography by C Ram Prasad, editing by Tammiraju and production design by Rajeevan.

The film has garnered positive reviews for displaying its male lead Balakrishna in an age appropriate role. The CE review of the film reads, "Bhagavanth Kesari is middling at its action portions, a place where masala films are at their most gung-ho mode, but the impact of its serene disruption of traditional masculinity, not to mention it's reinvention of Balakrishna will stay on. Here's hoping there is more of them, wherever they are coming from."
