We had previously reported that the Prabhas starrer Salaar will be releasing on December 22. In the light of this announcement, it was a given that the two Telugu films supposed to be released in the Christmas window, namely Saindhav and Hi Nanna, would reschedule their release dates. Soon enough, speculations began to rise about how Hi Nanna will prepone its release back to December 15 while Saindhav will move its date ahead to the most coveted Sankranti window. The makers of Saindhav have confirmed the said speculations on Thursday by announcing that they will indeed be releasing on January 13 next year.
A day before January 13, Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram is scheduled to hit theatres. It may be noted that Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, the producer of Guntur Kaaram has recently declared in an interview that he has no plans to budge from the Sankranti release date. The new release date of Saindhav, as well as Guntur Kaaram's firm presence on the Sankranti release window, will most likely compel the makers of Naa Saami Ranga, Hanu Man, Eagle and Family Star, who have also announced their intentions to release their respective films during the Sankranti period to push their dates ahead.
Saindhav, headlined by Venkatesh, also stars Shraddha Srinath, Andrea Jeremiah, Ruhani Sharma, Arya and Jayaprakash, among others. The film is written and directed by Dr Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainments. Santhosh Narayanan is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Manikandan, editing by Garry BH and production design by Avinash Kolla.
