Matka to go on floors in December

Earlier, we reported that Varun Tej has joined with Palasa 1978 fame director Karuna Kumar for his 14th film titled, Matka. On Sunday, the makers of the film announced that the film's shoot is set to begin in December. 

Matka stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as its female lead, while Iranian-origin Bollywood model, singer, actor and dancer Nora Fatehi will be featuring in the film, in both talkie portions as well as dance numbers. 

The makers also announced that a colossal set is taking shape on the outskirts of Hyderabad. As the film's pre-production work is coming to an end, Varun Tej is also gearing up to begin filming next month. 

Naveen Chandra, Kannada Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Mime Gopi, Roopalakshmi, Vijayarama Raju, Jagadeesh and Raj Thirandas are playing supporting roles in the film. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the film's music, with cinematography by Priyaseth and editing by Karthika Srinivas R.

Matka is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala under the banner Vyra Entertainments. Matka is Varun Tej's first pan-India film, it will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, in addition to Telugu.
