Sources close to CE have informed that the much-awaited trailer of Salaar, Prashanth Neel's upcoming action magnum opus, will be unveiled on December 1. There were some speculations earlier that the film's trailer will be coming out on Prabhas' birthday, but they have proven to be unfounded.
The film, originally scheduled to release on September 28, is now hitting theatres on December 22.
The film recently made news when Shruti Hassan, its female lead, revealed that the film's team let her use unused parts of the set to shoot the music video for her single Monster Machine. The makers have also announced that Simrat Kaur, who has recently appeared in Gadar 2, will be featuring in a song in Salaar.
Salaar, also known as Salaar-The Ceasefire is a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, with simultaneous releases in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam as well. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the film's principal antagonist, with Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Madhu Guruswamy, Ramachandra Raju, Garuda Ram and Tinnu Anand forming the supporting cast. Prithviraj is also distributing the film in Kerala.
Salaar is produced by Hombale films, which has also produced Prashanth's previous films. Ravi Basrur has composed the film's music, with cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and production design by Shivakumar and TL Venkatachalapathi.
